Sono di Ningbo, in Cina, e ho studiato Belle Arti
Cosa fai, che lavoro fai ora?
Attualmente ho uno studio e lavoro a tempo pieno alla progettazione di mattoncini personalizzati
Cosa ti ha ispirato a diventare un costruttore LEGO?
Inizialmente volevo scegliere un giocattolo che piacesse sia a me che a mio figlio. Dopo aver scoperto i LEGO, ho finito per divertirmi più di mio figlio e gradualmente è diventata una vera e propria ossessione
Da dove trai ispirazione per le tue creazioni?
L'ispirazione proviene da diversi fattori: da un lato, da edifici, oggetti ed esperienze di vita reali; dall'altro, anche videogiochi, film e animazione sono fonte di ispirazione
Qual è la tua creazione LEGO preferita tra quelle che hai realizzato finora?
Sicuramente mi piacciono le creazioni che ho realizzato con le mie sole forze. Naturalmente, la creatività non ha limiti e la mia creazione LEGO preferita sarà sempre la prossima
Qual è stata la sfida più complessa che hai affrontato come costruttore LEGO?
La sfida più complessa è stata senza dubbio la mia partecipazione alla versione cinese di "LEGO Masters", dove ho dovuto completare costruzioni a tema con un numero limitato di pezzi entro un tempo prestabilito, affrontando al contempo una notevole sfida fisica
Hai una tecnica preferita o un metodo particolare che utilizzi nelle tue costruzioni?
Di solito cerco di essere il più possibile "de-granulare", ricoprendo l'intera creazione con pannelli o pezzi senza punti granulari
Quali temi o soggetti ti piace esplorare maggiormente nelle tue creazioni?
Nei miei progetti personali, esploro spesso il tema dell'architettura tradizionale cinese. L'architettura è una forma d'arte che incarna sia la civiltà materiale che quella spirituale dell'umanità . L'architettura tradizionale cinese è caratterizzata da una metodologia rigorosa e da uno stile unico, che la distinguono nella storia dell'architettura mondiale. È anche testimone della storia e portatrice di cultura, e le storie che si celano dietro di essa mi affascinano e mi spingono a comprenderle ed esplorarle. Spero che, costruendo queste antiche architetture cinesi, più persone possano comprendere certi aspetti della cultura cinese
Qual è il progetto più grande o ambizioso che tu abbia mai realizzato?
In passato ho costruito un grande modello di villa, una casa piuttosto imponente con giardini esterni, piscine, ecc., inclusa la decorazione di ogni stanza interna, che mi ha richiesto circa sei mesi
Quale consiglio daresti a chi vuole diventare un esperto costruttore LEGO?
La passione è la forza motrice migliore. Dedicati con calma a ciò che ami, impegnati in ciò che ti dà soddisfazione. Ogni passione merita il tuo massimo impegno
Where are you from and what did you study?
I am from Ningbo, China, and I studied Fine Arts
What do you do, what job do you do now?
I currently have a studio and I work full-time on custom designs for building blocks
What inspired you to become a LEGO builder?
Actually, I initially wanted to choose a parent-child toy that both my child and I could enjoy. After getting in touch with LEGO, I ended up enjoying it more than my child, and gradually it became an obsession
Where do you get inspiration for your creations?
Inspiration comes from various aspects: on one hand, it is derived from real buildings, objects, and life experiences; on the other hand, games, movies, and animations also provide inspiration
What is your favorite LEGO work that you have built so far?
I certainly like the works that I have created through my own efforts. Of course, creation has no limits, and the favorite LEGO work will always be the next one
What has been the most complex challenge you have faced as a LEGO builder?
The most complex challenge should still be when I participated in the Chinese version of "LEGO Masters," where I had to complete themed constructions with limited parts within a specified time while also facing a significant physical challenge
Do you have a favorite technique or a special method that you use in your constructions?
I usually try to be as de-granular as possible, and I will cover the entire creation with tile panels or parts without grainy spots
What themes or subjects do you like to explore the most in your creations?
In my personal projects, I often explore the theme of traditional Chinese architecture. Architecture is an art form that embodies both material and spiritual civilization of humanity. Chinese traditional architecture is characterized by its rigorous methodology and unique style, standing out in the history of world architecture. It is also a witness of history and a carrier of culture, and the stories behind it attract me to understand and explore. I hope that by building these ancient Chinese architectures, more people can understand certain aspects of Chinese culture
What is the largest or most ambitious project you have ever made?
I previously built a large villa model, which is quite a substantial house with external gardens, swimming pools, etc. including the decoration of every room inside, which took about half a year
What advice would you give to someone who wants to become an expert LEGO builder?
Passion is the best driving force. Engage slowly in what you love, make efforts in life that you enjoy. Every passion is worth your full commitment
