Ho sempre costruito con i LEGO da quando ho memoria, quindi immagino che questa sia una domanda più adatta ai miei genitori, ah ah! Ma seriamente, adoro l'infinito potenziale creativo di questi piccoli mattoncini: puoi costruire praticamente qualsiasi cosa con loro, ed è davvero fantastico!

Da dove trai ispirazione per le tue creazioni?

Oh, varia, a volte da cose reali del mondo reale, a volte dalla fantasia, non si sa mai cosa ti viene in mente la prossima volta

Qual è la tua creazione LEGO preferita tra quelle che hai realizzato finora?

Domanda difficile, ma credo di non avere una sola creazione preferita

Qual è stata la sfida più complessa che hai affrontato come costruttore LEGO?

Non è una domanda facile, forse riuscire a realizzare la meccanica giusta per la chiusa del canale funzionante o gli angoli per il dirigibile motorizzato, chi lo sa davvero...

Hai una tecnica preferita o un metodo particolare che usi nelle tue costruzioni?

Mah, forse sì, ma sicuramente non intenzionalmente, ah ah!

Quali temi o soggetti ti piace esplorare di più nelle tue creazioni?

Mi piace molto che le mie costruzioni siano ambientate nel mondo reale, quindi immagino che riguardino le piccole e grandi meraviglie della vita quotidiana e forse anche di quella non così quotidiana

Qual è il progetto più grande o più ambizioso che tu abbia mai realizzato?

È piuttosto difficile dirlo, ma credo che alla fine il progetto più grande in assoluto per me sia stato il primo canale di tronchi funzionante per IDEAS

Quale consiglio daresti a chi vuole diventare un esperto costruttore LEGO?

Oh, che faresti meglio a chiedere a un vero esperto; Per me, la cosa più importante è divertirsi a costruire, quindi questo è l'unico vero consiglio che posso dare: divertitevi a costruire, è tutto ciò che conta!

Where are you from and what did you study?

I'm from Munich (Germany) and studied technical writing

What do you do, what job do you do now?

Well, not that much of a surprise, I'm a technical writer

What inspired you to become a LEGO builder?

I've always built with LEGO since I can remember, so I guess this would be a better question for my parents, ha-ha! But seriously, I simply love the unlimited creativity potential these little bricks have, you can basically build anything with them, and that's just truly awesome!

Where do you get inspiration for your creations?

Oh, it varies, sometimes from actual things out of the real world, sometimes just from fantasies, you never know what comes to your mind up next

What is your favorite LEGO work that you have built so far?

Difficult question, but I guess I really don't have that one and only favorite build

What has been the most complex challenge you have faced as a LEGO builder?

Also not an easy question, maybe getting the mechanics right for the working canal lock or the angles for the motorized airship, who really knows...

Do you have a favorite technique or a special method that you use in your constructions?

Hum, maybe I indeed have some, but surely not deliberately, ha-ha!

What themes or subjects do you like to explore the most in your creations?

I really like to keep my builds within the real world, so I guess they are all about the small and big wonders of the everyday and maybe also not so everyday life

What is the largest or most ambitious project you have ever made?

Quite hard to tell, but I guess that in the end, the overall largest project for me was the first working log flume project for IDEAS

What advice would you give to someone who wants to become an expert LEGO builder?

Oh, that you should better ask somebody who's an actual expert; for me, it's all about the building fun, so that's the only real advice I can give: Have a fun time building, that's all that matters!
